Our Main Services
Somali Oregon Service Center (SOSC) provides culturally responsive services, advocacy, and community support for Somali, African, Afghan, immigrant, and refugee families in Oregon. We work to help families access basic needs, build stability, improve health and wellness, and connect with opportunities that strengthen the whole community.
Our programs are designed with the community in mind. We provide services in culturally appropriate ways and support families in the languages they understand.
SOSC provides culturally appropriate food support, including halal meat, staple foods, groceries, pantry assistance, and nutrition education. We also offer workshops on healthy eating, chronic disease prevention, and family wellness
We help newly arrived refugees and immigrants connect to resources, understand systems, complete forms, attend appointments, and access services that support successful resettlement.
